Catch up deux

So I'm sure you have been waiting by your computer for my next update to hear my news... right? ;) Anyhoo! I'm moving home! Now this isn't a huge move as I am moving up the stairs in my building. Why? Currently I'm on the ground floor and would feel more comfortable up a few levels and well that extra flight of stairs will certainly burn a few calories... kidding. Seriously though its a much nicer home, with a lovely view of the city and natural light. I can't wait... well I kind of can because moving equals stress but it will all be worth it when I'm settled in my new home :) Now on to more photo overload from the past weeks events!

My sisters wedding also known as a handfasting

My older sister is a witch! Now now...I'm not being mean she is pagan and had the most lovely ceremony wearing a beautiful red dress in a field in the South of England.

It was a truly wonderful day and I am so happy to be part of it.

After the wedding I spent the rest of my time hanging out with two of my besties

I then headed back through to London stopping by Forever 21 on my route...

and of course getting a whole food fix too!

The night I left London all the riots kicked off and I have to admit there was a strange atmosphere about the City what with underground stations being closed down. I actually decided to get the earlier train to Glasgow because I didn't feel safe. It is horrid what has happened these past few weeks in this country and I really hope things have calmed down and hopefully not have to face something like this ever again. It really is shameful!

Anyway on to....

This weeks plans

Usual routine
Book Spin course
Pack boxes
Clean up
See the little sister
Buy decorating materials
Doctors Appointments

Phew! As you can see its a busy time ahead but hopefully I can get into a little routine of actually uploading photos and having a natter on here more often.
We shall see eh? Best not get ahead of myself now. Hehe :)

Getaway

Last weekend I escaped Glasgow and took a trip to Inveraray. It was a little rainy but I had a lovely little day out and discovered a cute cafe called brambles that served good coffee.

The week that followed has been horrible and I swayed about posting about this but I think I need to for myself also to show others that including an eating disorder in your life is not worth the pain or hassle. I think anorexia had me under the illusion I was doing miles better... I was doing a little better but not as much as I should be. I relapsed for two days and my body decided to give in and sent me packing to hospital again :(

My haemoglobin dropped to dangerously low because of malnutrition and I was prodded with needles and experienced lot of discomfort not to mention a dreadful nights sleep. It was basically a hellish horrible experience that I want to avoid at all costs. This means challenging my negative thoughts and overcoming them long before I wind up in a situation like that again. Continuing the way I have been is just going to lead to life time of scenarios like the above or worse. Its no way of life and I need to push on forward to pull myself out of this. I am just grateful I had two of my wonderful friends there to support me and words cannot describe how thankful I am to have such amazing people in my life.

Its been a while since I have blogged so I will include a mixed mash of photographs of the past few weeks...

Vanilla yogurt cereal mess

Cous Cous with veggies and salad

Amusing grape (random I know)

Mothers Autumn Garden

So its been a stressful few weeks and there can be no slips with my food intake or tacking on extra milage to runs because I cannot afford to become poorly and let this illness continue to dominate my life.

I don't know if I am being too open about things but I feel this blog holds me accountable for enforcing changes which can only be a good thing right?!

Anyway I hope you are all wrapped up warm in cosy scarfs, hats & gloves as a cold spell has decided to pop by and say hello.

Prime Minister

Well the question was 'Who do you think would make a good president?' but since I am stuck in the UK I'll stick with the above...

I genuinely have no idea! I think that whoever was running the country there would always be someone at a disadvantage, someone would always be dissatisfied and I imagine having it as job would be incredibly stressful. I can't really think of anyone in particular but if I had to choose then I would like to see a female prime minister (not thatcher) but I would like to see how a lady got along looking after us lot.

loving these!

In general things right now are not super... I am just fed up and want to escape Glasgow, people, me, life! Don't worry I'm not going to be silly now! I am just angry as I keep running round in circles and can't seem to break the cycle. Its ongoing and I do better in one area for example I start eating more but almost instantaneously my exercise steps up and the whole thing winds up being counter productive and sending me back to square one. I know its only me that can make the change but every time I feel like I turn a corner or rather put one foot in front of the other my mind starts going haywire. How do people just let go? As the years get on I become more entrenched in my disorder and start to wonder if it will ever leave me alone.

I have a few things lined up over the next few months so hopefully I can just take tiny steps and hope its leads to bigger changes. Right now I am exhausted and I feel a niggle in my ankle which may just be tiredness but I don't know how I'll cope if I wasn't able to run especially with the Great Scottish Run at the beginning of September. Rah rah rah.

Tick tock

Hey angel faces

My oh my did I forget the clocks leaped forward and only go & miss body combat this morning! I did however make up for it with an epic gym work out and swim. (note to self: weekends equal screaming children taking over the pool with frog shaped floats)

I am at my Dads for the week which has been rather good as its given me chance to get away from Glasgow which was more than necessary. After a tough few months I have had a little (big) relapse with regard to eating & I have suffered the consequences x 10. Lost weight means I am freezing and sore 99.9% of the time, my immune system is below normal and I have anemia. Sounds super great huh? Needless to say I feel less than stellar. I have however put on my smiley face self in hope that I'll wake up and smell the coffee and breakfast muffin ;)

I've been told I need to up my food intake so I'm trying to push negative thoughts aside and just get on with it. I have been picky ever since I was little so finding things I like is a task and a half! My Dad made Spinach and Tuna cannelloni which I had a little taste of but unlike Popeye I'm not a lover of the green leaf.

Yesterday was a day out in London town! We parked at Elephant and the Castle which randomly reminded me of Babar (above) Aww! how much did you love that french elephant? ANYWAY we walked to the Tate Gallery passing an even cooler named place en route.

:O

Now maybe I am not modern, cool and artistic like everyone else these days but some of the things in the gallery how on earth can it be called 'art'? Examples; bits of carpet hanging from the ceiling, random boxes with tape round them and what could only be described as a room that looked like it hadn't been finished resembling that of a garden shed. I couldn't resist giggling like a school girl while some people stared in absolute awe. I have the mind of a 5 year old sometimes I know! I did see some lovely things that were interesting and pretty though so I would suggest a trip to the Tate if you get the opportunity.

Last but not least...

This is probably the amount of clothes I go through in a week btw. Hey! I'm female! What do you expect?! On that note I am going to crash out and catch some much needed Zzzz's.

Clear Roads

Bonjour lovelies

The snow has finally melted and its not as cold! Pheweee! However this weekend we are due another cold snap... sadface.

This week I have been super busy and have barely had chance to sit down in fact I don't think I have really sat down except for sleep times. Although catching Zzz'z is a task & a half primarily because of my young child cat. Honestly Darcy has some form of ADD and likes to howl and scratch my door for a good two hours every single night. I love my cat to bits but he does love attention so its hard to ignore his sing song meow and his beautiful blue eyes... non?

This week it was the relaunch of dance class releases which is always good! Also enjoyed a number of Spin classes minus yesterdays one as the strap on my pedal broke and it came round at spinning speed into my  poor leg. I was at the front of the class and I am aware the mirror reflection of this painful comical moment was on show for all to see. Calf & pride in one fellow swoop. Ouchies!

I am planning to do the woman's 10k in May but its far away so I decided to sign up for the 5k fun run in March. I would like some company so if anyone is floating around on this day feel free to join me! I have had a really good running week running 6 miles on Monday & Tuesday and took it easy with a 3 mile run and stretch session today. I overtrained in November and put my ankle out so I am trying to be more careful this year.

I have found a substitute to my all time favourite cereal which I first encountered in Italy during my travels and just fell in ♥ with the stuff. Much to my disappointment we don't get it here in the UK and even kind emails to Kellogs never amounted to anything! I am getting to the point... no really I am! In our local German supermarket I found Nougat pillows & by god yes they are as good as they sound. The word pillow probably helps as it makes me feel slightly dreamy. Just me?! Thought as much! Anyway I do suggest you try a bowl of these little delights!

Well I am feeling the effects of my busy week catching up and still have some emails & study I should really set about.

Hope you all are having an enjoyable week :)

Christmas Time, Mistletoe & Wine?

No Mistletoe and I don't drink so no wine! Enough babbling... Christmas time was lovely and snowy! I got a waterproof mp3 player for swimming, perfume, dvds, make up, vouchers, clothes, writing materials, clothes and lots of other glorious items :)

Enjoyed some snow days with my mum and attempted a run this morning which was enjoyable but v. scary! I ran in soft snow which suddenly dipped and I found myself in what could almost pass as a little snow home. Near the end of the country road I had an encounter with Bambi (baba deer) which made me smile.

I am now going home to prepare for NYE and make sure my house is nice & tidy in time for the bells. Bling ding ding. If I don't post again THIS YEAR (how strange is it saying that when its one day until 2010?!) then Happy New Year!
