One Hundred

Happy 100th Post Bloggy :)

Sale Bargain (trainers not the cat)

aaaand pose! fierce Darcy fierce!

My trainers were reduced to less than half price in the sales! I was mega pleased. Obviously when I went to photograph them Darcy wanted to hog the limelight. One day I will post something I've purchased other than sports gear maybe I will even buy a dress!

The gym and pool were still closed yesterday which was a bit frustrating so after some shopping I indulged in a free trial at Paris' family chain...
I did a little over one hundred laps of their little pool and got a good workout in the near empty gym so I left rather pleased. I should start reviewing gyms I visit as I really do take full advantage of these free trial things. I had one for Virgin Active but it made me wish I was rich so I could actually become a member so perhaps not. Anyway! Later I got a sports massage which was amazing and has made my legs feel brand new. It was long overdue and definitely something I need to get more often especially if I continue to run as much! Its been a good second day to the year and I have reached post number 100! Wowzer.

Have you had any good sale buys? What are they? Where is your favorite shop for bargains?

I miss...

Home.

However being back in Glasgow means I get cuddles from the wonderful...

Darcy!

The flat is finally coming together and my living room looks much better now the walls are intact...

So its fairly obvious this blog is neglected and I think I would actually like to commit to updating more. The thing is I just tend to lose my drive and motivation to write and fall of the radar. I have been inspired by the lovely Jessica at Almost Over Now to attempt the 30 -day insight challenge

Day 01- Guilty pleasure.
Day 02- Something that inspires you.
Day 03- The five songs you would have with you on a desert island and why.
Day 04- What you imagine paradise to be like.
Day 05- A thank you letter to someone who has changed your life.
Day 06- Earliest thing you can remember.
Day 07- Favorite cover of your favorite song.
Day 08- Someone you think would make a good president.
Day 09- Five things you want to see change.

Starting tomorrow... no really I will be back tomorrow! Right now I am going to stop Darcy pulling all my magnets of my fridge door (strange kitty) and then hit up the gym for a good workout session.

Today...

was not my day!

To start... I slept in so had to quickly pack my things to head to the gym. I was going through the motions of putting things into my locker and bent down to collect my bag and on my way back up successfully clunked my head of the locker door. Ouchies! I have a incline the cute swim coach seen so being the smooth chick I am I pretended I didn't just knock myself stupid. Man oh man did it hurt though!

Fast forward two minutes and the gym toilets were full so I skipped through to the health suite. Now don't let the word 'suite' deceive you... my cat would hesitate about using the loo's in that place! Anyway after I unlock the door the handle practically falls off in my hand. I was trapped! Trapped in the health suite toilets! I considered squiggling under the door but ew the floor! so I yelped for a little while until what sounded like a small gathering outside.  One woman reads aloud the 'Out of Order' sign on the door perhaps I smacked my head harder than I thought and was temporarily blinded on my way in. I heard an announcement over the tannoy requesting help. There was talk of having to remove the door handle when the door popped open. Some random man had managed to rescue me so he received a thank you hug and the I scampered away in embarrassment to the gym.

Of course.... things have to come in threes and that late start in the morning made going swimming a slight problem as during my crazed rush I had forgotten my swimming costume. Don't worry I don't do nude swimming so I went home and returned for a good swim this evening.

However I am delighted that tresor cereal has made its way to the UK under the fitting name 'Krave'. Yum! I think you should all go have a bowl of this deelish breakfast munch immediately.

Hope you lovelies had a better day than me!

Much love

Clear Roads

Bonjour lovelies

The snow has finally melted and its not as cold! Pheweee! However this weekend we are due another cold snap... sadface.

This week I have been super busy and have barely had chance to sit down in fact I don't think I have really sat down except for sleep times. Although catching Zzz'z is a task & a half primarily because of my young child cat. Honestly Darcy has some form of ADD and likes to howl and scratch my door for a good two hours every single night. I love my cat to bits but he does love attention so its hard to ignore his sing song meow and his beautiful blue eyes... non?

This week it was the relaunch of dance class releases which is always good! Also enjoyed a number of Spin classes minus yesterdays one as the strap on my pedal broke and it came round at spinning speed into my  poor leg. I was at the front of the class and I am aware the mirror reflection of this painful comical moment was on show for all to see. Calf & pride in one fellow swoop. Ouchies!

I am planning to do the woman's 10k in May but its far away so I decided to sign up for the 5k fun run in March. I would like some company so if anyone is floating around on this day feel free to join me! I have had a really good running week running 6 miles on Monday & Tuesday and took it easy with a 3 mile run and stretch session today. I overtrained in November and put my ankle out so I am trying to be more careful this year.

I have found a substitute to my all time favourite cereal which I first encountered in Italy during my travels and just fell in ♥ with the stuff. Much to my disappointment we don't get it here in the UK and even kind emails to Kellogs never amounted to anything! I am getting to the point... no really I am! In our local German supermarket I found Nougat pillows & by god yes they are as good as they sound. The word pillow probably helps as it makes me feel slightly dreamy. Just me?! Thought as much! Anyway I do suggest you try a bowl of these little delights!

Well I am feeling the effects of my busy week catching up and still have some emails & study I should really set about.

Hope you all are having an enjoyable week :)

Freezer

Everyone has mentioned how cold it is but I have to admit it is pretty darn freezing! I am dressed much like the above photograph  with layers upon layers of clothing - thermals, tights, jumpers, cardigans, coats, you name it... I'm probably wearing it! I am the michelin lady.

I got stuck in Lanark due to the adverse weather conditions but after snow driving (mother driving, not me, I can't drive) I am now back in Glasgow! Hurrah! Due to the slippy pavements I am scared to go running so I have been spending time with the trusty treadmill in the gym. I can't wait till this cold spell is over! Today I enjoyed a swim and a few mills classes which was lots of fun.

I don't really have a lot of things to say today.

Much love
