Getaway

Last weekend I escaped Glasgow and took a trip to Inveraray. It was a little rainy but I had a lovely little day out and discovered a cute cafe called brambles that served good coffee.

The week that followed has been horrible and I swayed about posting about this but I think I need to for myself also to show others that including an eating disorder in your life is not worth the pain or hassle. I think anorexia had me under the illusion I was doing miles better... I was doing a little better but not as much as I should be. I relapsed for two days and my body decided to give in and sent me packing to hospital again :(

My haemoglobin dropped to dangerously low because of malnutrition and I was prodded with needles and experienced lot of discomfort not to mention a dreadful nights sleep. It was basically a hellish horrible experience that I want to avoid at all costs. This means challenging my negative thoughts and overcoming them long before I wind up in a situation like that again. Continuing the way I have been is just going to lead to life time of scenarios like the above or worse. Its no way of life and I need to push on forward to pull myself out of this. I am just grateful I had two of my wonderful friends there to support me and words cannot describe how thankful I am to have such amazing people in my life.

Its been a while since I have blogged so I will include a mixed mash of photographs of the past few weeks...

Vanilla yogurt cereal mess

Cous Cous with veggies and salad

Amusing grape (random I know)

Mothers Autumn Garden

So its been a stressful few weeks and there can be no slips with my food intake or tacking on extra milage to runs because I cannot afford to become poorly and let this illness continue to dominate my life.

I don't know if I am being too open about things but I feel this blog holds me accountable for enforcing changes which can only be a good thing right?!

Anyway I hope you are all wrapped up warm in cosy scarfs, hats & gloves as a cold spell has decided to pop by and say hello.

Quick Post

I am so poorly! I have a horrid cold and can't breathe properly. It has improved somewhat but I do not feel super fantastic. I am struggling to slow down and have my finals to study for so I am feeling very stressed. On my Tesco trip to stock up on Vit C, olbas oil and parecetmol this evening and I got this Easter mug for 25p! I couldn't resit its bargain price tag. Isn't it coot?

I am going to enjoy my soya milk hiya lights and hopefully sleep my symptoms away.

Hugs

Tick tock

Hey angel faces

My oh my did I forget the clocks leaped forward and only go & miss body combat this morning! I did however make up for it with an epic gym work out and swim. (note to self: weekends equal screaming children taking over the pool with frog shaped floats)

I am at my Dads for the week which has been rather good as its given me chance to get away from Glasgow which was more than necessary. After a tough few months I have had a little (big) relapse with regard to eating & I have suffered the consequences x 10. Lost weight means I am freezing and sore 99.9% of the time, my immune system is below normal and I have anemia. Sounds super great huh? Needless to say I feel less than stellar. I have however put on my smiley face self in hope that I'll wake up and smell the coffee and breakfast muffin ;)

I've been told I need to up my food intake so I'm trying to push negative thoughts aside and just get on with it. I have been picky ever since I was little so finding things I like is a task and a half! My Dad made Spinach and Tuna cannelloni which I had a little taste of but unlike Popeye I'm not a lover of the green leaf.

Yesterday was a day out in London town! We parked at Elephant and the Castle which randomly reminded me of Babar (above) Aww! how much did you love that french elephant? ANYWAY we walked to the Tate Gallery passing an even cooler named place en route.

:O

Now maybe I am not modern, cool and artistic like everyone else these days but some of the things in the gallery how on earth can it be called 'art'? Examples; bits of carpet hanging from the ceiling, random boxes with tape round them and what could only be described as a room that looked like it hadn't been finished resembling that of a garden shed. I couldn't resist giggling like a school girl while some people stared in absolute awe. I have the mind of a 5 year old sometimes I know! I did see some lovely things that were interesting and pretty though so I would suggest a trip to the Tate if you get the opportunity.

Last but not least...

This is probably the amount of clothes I go through in a week btw. Hey! I'm female! What do you expect?! On that note I am going to crash out and catch some much needed Zzzz's.

La la Night
